MB Performance Consulting was established in 1997 as a response to seeing a need for individually catered training programs. Some formula-based courses may create an exciting hype but the information and ‘high’ may not be practical or sustainable for all participants in the long term.

It is this willingness and ability to pay particular attention to individual needs that has satisfied clients who expect their investment to provide useful, rewarding, sustainable results.

What We Do

We provide confidential support in 3 key areas:

1. Content

Clarify, select, structure, edit and polish written material.

Eg. Proposals, presentations, speeches, articles, stories…

2. Delivery

Personal feedback, performance education, skills development, practical rehearsals.

Eg. Live/televised public communications, interviews, launches, awards…

3. Preparation

Pre-performance planning. Vocal, physical and mental warm-ups. Tools to cope with performance anxiety.

We do not impose formulas — rather we seek to enhance inherent strengths and help clients effectively manage obstacles which prevent them from presenting their best.

Who We Are

Melissa Bruce

Director

Melissa has extensive experience consulting, coaching, directing, teaching, editing and writing. Melissa draws on technical knowledge and experience gained from professional theatre directing (STC, STCSA…). She has a Diploma in Directing (NIDA), a Bachelor of Education (Victoria College/Deakin) and a Master of Arts in Professional Writing (UTS). She has taught graduate & postgraduate writing at UTS. Melissa has published articles, short fiction, poetry and produced stage & radio drama. Melissa has an innate ability to perceive individual needs, strengths and obstacles. She combines this with a talent for designing and facilitating challenging, relevant, enjoyable and successful training courses.

After an introductory assessment, a plan will be devised to suit specific needs and achieve company or individual objectives.

  Specific Skills Development: 6 sessions
  Introductory Skills Development: 3 sessions
  Specific Performance Preparation: 1-6 sessions

Group Courses & Workshops
Courses are individually designed to suit specific company needs. They may include a combination of group workshops, educational seminars and private consultations.

Maximum Group Size: 20
